Decorating Our King of Christmas Tree with Vintage Simplicity

Happy Holidays!

It’s our first Christmas here at the farm which feels extra special and a little surreal too. Last year I sold our artificial trees and opted for real ones, which I loved! However, I start decorating pretty early and fresh trees and greenery aren’t available yet. So that led me to this King of Christmas tree and I’m so happy it did because our Douglas Fir is absolutely beautiful!

Our King of Christmas Tree

Not only is the this 8″ Douglas Fir a beautiful tree but it’s so realistic and high quality. First of all the lights instantly turn on when you connect the tree together! No searching for all the parts to plug together!

Light Options on the King of Christmas Tree

Then when you do light the tree up it has the option for white OR colored lights! Ed prefers colored lights and this is the first tree that we’ve ever had with them so he was a happy camper! Whichever lights you choose also can twinkle or flash.

They’ve Lived Up to Their Name

And finally the tree also came with a tree bag and fluffing gloves that save your hands! King of Christmas has  really thought of everything from start to finish!

Decorating Our King of Christmas Tree with Vintage Simplicity

I’m not sure how Christmas crazy I’ll get this year decor wise since we’re still working on lots of projects. And since we’re living in the midst of a construction zone my heart is yearning for simplicity even more than usual.

That being said I simply added a vintage chenille throw for a tree skirt. To achieve this look I grab the throw from the center and then drape it around the tree stand fluffing out he frays evenly. Then I added these crocheted snowflakes I found at a flea market last year and just love the result!

Decorating our King of Christmas Tree with vintage simplicity has given us a calm Christmas scene to enjoy this year. I may still add some dried orange slices because I loved the traditional old fashioned Christmas feel I created last year, which you can see HERE if you missed it! I hope you’re decorating your home for the holidays in a way that you and your loved ones enjoy too! I know we’ll be soaking up the holidays a little extra here at the farm!

Merry Christmas friend!
