Merry Christmas from the Farm!
Merry Christmas!
Like most, our Christmas looks very different this year, but I hope this finds you and yours healthy, safe, and that you’re able to find happiness this holiday season in whatever way you can. In a season that’s typically filled with hustle and bustle I have instead found myself slowing down and intentionally taking note of the small joyful moments that can be found in everyday life.
And so this Christmas I wanted to share some of those sweet moments with you in the form of the farm babies experiencing their first snowfall 🙂  I hope they bring you some holiday cheer!
The Sheep
The sheep were much more hesitant about that white stuff than I thought they would be! It was adorable to watch them come out of the barn after much observation and consideration, only to hop right back into the barn lol! They are built for the winter and I have a feeling they’ll be frolicking in it after they have a couple more times to figure out this whole snow situation 😉
Cats and Dogs
We’ve been bringing the kitties and pups inside at night to warm up. Although when there’s snow it’s hard to convince Maverick, our husky mix to come inside lol! The “barn cats” on the other hand seem to spend about half the time sleeping cozied up in the house somewhere 😉
The Chickens
The chickens were high stepping (literally lifting their legs high up haha) once they eventually ventured out lol! And much like the sheep, after huddling under the outside nesting boxes to observe they decided the coop was really the best place to be 😉
Merry Christmas from the Farm!
This year we exchanged small gifts from each other and opted to spend our Christmas decor and gift budget on upcoming renovations and projects. A decision I really couldn’t be happier about lol! We’ll be snuggled up today, but tomorrow operation cleanup will be commencing! We’ll be filling up the roll off dumpster we had delivered this week and FINALLY saying goodbye to all the junk the previous owner left in all the outbuildings! Whoo hoo for a Christmas dumpster! Lol!
We also picked up our new wood stove yesterday! I can’t wait to share it with y’all! I’ll also be starting on the next upstairs bedroom next week and kitchen floors will be soon to follow! Eeek! We’re trying to embrace the strangeness that is this year with a very fixer upper farmhouse holiday season! Good things are coming, my friend! Merry Christmas from the farm!
