My New Clean Skincare Routine
So as you may know if you’ve read some of the health and well-being goals, I’m working towards a more holistic clean lifestyle. I started with by cleaning up my diet, which you can read about HERE!
But now I’m ready to start making small everyday changes to lessen our product chemical exposure and live a more natural life. As I run out of household products I’m looking for healthier alternatives. And about 6 weeks ago it was my skincare line. So today I’d like to share my new clean skincare routine with y’all!

Old Skincare Routine
Let’s start with a little bit about my old routine. So as I’ve ventured into my 30s I’ve noticed my skin start to change a bit. I used to have very oily skin but now it’s much more combination. Previously I was using It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser and Confidence in a Cream. Not really much of a routine, I know. At first I really liked these products but as my skin started to change I don’t think they were a good fit anymore. I started to have really dry uneven patches even when I would use more of the cream, which further fueled me to look into something else.
As I mentioned I have combination skin. I also get the occasional breakout and have bigger pores around my nose. Also because of lots of sun exposure in my 20s aka too much time at the lake 😉 I’m now seeing some sun spots and fine lines. Sunscreen ladies, sunscreen! Anyway, I don’t really enjoy putting all my flaws out there, but I think it’s important for you to know my skin type and issues.
My New Skincare Line
I started researching different natural based skin lines and felt like Youth to the People was a good place to start based on my needs and product reviews. I also love that they have whole kits geared towards specific skin types because it just makes it easy! I obviously got the Your Youth Regimen Combination Kit and in a word it’s AMAZING.
Here are their product claims:
- 100% vegan ingredients
- cold-pressed extracts made in the USA
- recyclable packaging
- made in the USA
- no animal testing
- no parabans
- no phthalates
- no dimethicone
Forming My Own Regimen
I waited awhile to share because I did have to figure out how much and how often to use each product since they were all so new to me. I started following the regimen that they recommended on their site, but my skin was getting too dry so I tweaked it until I found what works for me.
My Routine with this Line
Personally, I use the Superfood Cleanser and Superfood Air Whip Moisture Cream twice a day, morning and night. Then I also use the Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil daily in the evenings. But I only use the Superfood Firm + Brightening Serum 3 times per week in the evenings. I apply all products as directed on their site.
I also want to mention that every night when I’m going through routine it’s a moment for me and self-care is so important! Having come from not really using products like this I would tell Ed almost every day that it feels like a spa treatment! Lol!
My Review of Youth To The People
The benefits they mention on their site for the Combo Kit is to “reset your complexion and help boost skin’s health”. I would say I’ve seen these benefits 100% with my skin! My complexion is more even and healthy looking for sure! It’s also very balanced now, never dry or oily and my pores are clearer and smaller. Is my skin perfect no, but it sure looks and feels so much better! And it seems like the longer I use it the better it gets!
My New Clean Skincare Routine
I know this kit is an investment, but if you’re looking to gradually build your skincare then I’d start with the Superfood Cleanser and the Air Whip Moisturizer. I’m in no way being compensated from Youth To The People just excited to share products that I’m really loving, seeing results from, and feeling good about using! I’m really excited to keep moving towards more a natural based lifestyle here at the farm!
Let me know if you have any questions! I hope you have an amazing day!
