New Vintage Inspired Rugs

Hey there!

Textiles can make all the difference in a space. And after finishing our bathroom renovation I knew the room needed some kind of rug. I had also been wanting to find a rug for layering on top of our bleached jute one in the living room. So I searched online for probably a month checking out options for both rooms. Then after going back and forth I kept finding myself coming back to vintage inspired rugs.

Usually I’m not so indecisive and I found two rug that fit our style right away, but I was also feeling the need to push myself a bit outside my comfort zone. I knew I wanted something darker for the bathroom and I was also craving something with more interest and character for the spaces.

Finally, I ended up finding two rugs I loved that were totally different than anything else in our home. I took a chance and I’m so glad I did.

Living Room Rug

You can find the one I got for our living room below! It cozies up the space so much! I love that it’s still light and neutral but adds so much texture to the room. Layering rugs is also a great way to create more depth and interest in a space.

Bathroom Rug!

You can click the image below for the rug I got for the bathroom! I LOVE it! It does exactly what I was hoping for and really grounds and balances the space visually. Y’all know I don’t have a lot of dark colored things in my home but I’m so glad I took a chance on this one! If you missed our whole bathroom renovation you can catch all the details HERE!

New Vintage Inspired Rugs

Even though I love all things vintage these new vintage inspired rugs felt a bit out of my comfort zone style wise because they are more detailed than most of my textiles. I think they’re a good example that if you’re ever afraid to try something new or different for you just GO FOR IT! You can usually take things back if they don’t work out! I’ve made plenty of design mistakes over the years but honestly that’s how you learn what you love!

Have fun creating a home you love friend!
