Simply Styled Outside Summer Spaces
Hi friend!
So glad you stopped by the blog today! I’m excited to share another home tour but this time it will be a couple of our outside spaces! As I said in the last home tour, which you can find HERE, summer is all about being outside, right?! Because we like spending so much time outside we tried to make our backyard a priority this year. I’ll be sharing the individual diy projects that we’ve done back there over the next couple of weeks, and you’ll see how you how they’ve really transformed our yard!
But for now I just wanna show ya some of my favorite places to sit and relax whether it’s with a cup of coffee,a glass of wine 😉
Outdoor Table
This little table and chair set is one of my favorite parts of our backyard! It was a vintage score from a local junk festival! Of course I love that it’s old and chippy and rusty! It fits our backyard well and I sip my coffee in this spot nearly every morning (when it’s shaded 😉 ). But when I shot these it was quite hot some some lemon water was much needed!
Where’s It From?
I found this sweet little jar under a friends porch and thought the blue and white label was perfect! And I adore the interest and texture this sweet little rug adds to the space! You can find it HERE.
Please excuse the bald spots in the yard! We’ve done a lot back there this year and it’s still coming back! More details on all those projects to come very soon, promise!
A Conversation Space
This simply styled outside summer space is one of my favorites! My ultimate goal for the backyard was for it to be an extension of the house. I wanted it to feel like a big open room with lots of place to sit and relax. I knew I wanted white wicker in the backyard because of it’s timeless classic quality. After searching for over a month for a vintage wicker set I decided that ultimately it would be better in the end if I purchased resin wicker for this space. It’s not a covered area so the resin wicker will hold up much better to the elements and we’ll be able to enjoy it for years to come. You can find the chairs and the cushions, which I love because they’re the perfect neutral color, by clicking the links below.

Simple Patriotic Touches
Now that it’s officially summer I love the idea of giving the outside some patriotic touches! I used another flag from the ‘flag box’, you can read all about that story HERE if you missed it 🙂 and it made this area extra special!  The old metal dresser is the first piece of furniture I ever bought at auction and I love it in this space! Plus it’s rusty-ness will only get better with age and it’s awesome storage 😉
Easy and Functional
Originally I had planned on putting a love seat or bench and 2 chairs in this area but I’m so glad I changed my mind! I love that you can walk through the space and also see through it to my climbing sweet autumn clematis that will be blooming before ya know it! I used an old wash tub we had to pull double duty as a coffee table and a foot rest 🙂 And let’s talk about this rug! It’s from Target too and adding in such a textured textile really cozies up the space! It has such a similar feel to our jute rugs inside which has been a great way to bring that inside feel out. I can’t find this one online but check your local store!
Backyard Happy
I love how our backyard has transformed this year! It’s really becoming such a cozy, happy, and peaceful place to be! I don’t know about you but it does my soul good to just be outside listening to the birds, breathing in the fresh air, and just being, ya know?
I couldn’t wait to share some of what we’ve been doing lately but can’t wait to share more spaces back here and the projects that we’ve been working on that have made all the difference! So I hope you enjoyed these simply styled outside summer spaces! And I hope you’re creating a space outside that brings you peace and happiness at your home! Thank you for stopping by the blog today and have an amazing and safe 4th of July!

Thanks so much Kelly! We love being outside and have so enjoyed these cozy spots this year! Just had to get a little dirty and brave some bugs to get it! Totally worth it though because we got probably 100 different jars, masons, and blue masons!
