Summertime Farmhouse Front Porch

Hey y’all!

Thought I’d bring ya a little summertime farmhouse front porch action today! I look forward to this time of year ALL year! Spending time outside is my jam and it’s gotten a whole lot sweeter this year with some country views!

This little farmhouse porch is in need of some love! We have big plans for her πŸ˜‰ and we’ll be getting there eventually! But for now I’m doing my best to make the best of her by dressing her up a bit so we can spend our mornings (and evenings) like this!

Tractor SupplyRocking Chairs Were a Must!

The first thing you need for a summertime front porch is somewhere to sit! We had some old rocking chairs that I bought at a yard sale a couple years ago. They were in rough shape when we moved here. Then after a couple storms blew them off the porch and Scout thinking they were her giant chew toys they were goners lol!

But since I know we’ll be changing up this porch down the road I wasn’t willing to invest too much into new seating but still loved the idea of having a couple rocking chairs here. I mean it’s almost a farmhouse necessity to have rocking chairs on the porch, right? πŸ˜‰

Well I shopped around…a lot and ended up scoring these on sale at Walmart for $77 each. They came already assembled and had good reviews online! I’ll keep y’all updated on how well they hold up!

You can find the rocking chairs HERE!

Front Porch Accessories

I added this rug from the Hearth and Hand line at Target and I’m obsessed! Since the porch is small, but we still needed a table of sorts for coffee, books, wine glasses, a foot rest, ya know the basics πŸ˜‰ so I grabbed this little rusty old container I had stashed in the barn.

I also added a throw blanket we already had for those cooler mornings.

Front Porch Plants

I also grabbed a couple hanging ferns at Walmart for $10 each and FINALLY filled our flower pots! The small has a Citronella plant for a little help with bug control.

And the others have these gorgeous hybrid sunflowers I couldn’t pass up at Home Depot! They’re an endless bloomer and it said on their label the would have over 100 blooms from now through Fall! Is there a flower that says summertime like a sunflower? I don’t think so πŸ˜‰
