Textiles in the French Farmhouse Bedroom
Hey there!
We’ve been so crazy busy lately that I haven’t sat down to let ya know everything that’s going on in our home project wise, but if you follow me on Instagram @midcounty_living you’ve had some sneak peeks 😉 It’s been one of those periods where I have lots of projects started, get inspired & start another one 😂 Have you ever been there? Juggling this life thing can be trying sometimes! That accompanied by some serious technical difficulties have led to a lack of articles getting done & I apologize! But I appreciate you for sticking with me! 😘
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about our bedding, rug, & curtains so I thought textiles would be a perfect next thing to share on our french farmhouse bedroom tour 🙂
Bedding
Our sheets have a light grey french ticking farmhouse style that I love! I actually found on Amazon & you can find them HERE or by clicking the link below. They are SO soft! I bought 2 sets so I could rotate between washings & they’ve held up really well. I like they they’re patterned which gives some texture, but it’s subtle enough to not over power the space.
Quilt
The quilt is from Target & you can find it HERE. It’s super affordable, especially if you catch it on sale! We have a queen size bed but I usually get a king size quilt or comforter so it’s a little cozier, aka Ed is a cover hog 😉. It has the appearance of a worn vintage quilt, which is what initially drew me in 🙂 I also love that is has some weight to it, but it’s not hot.
Throw Pillow
The decorative burlap grain sack pillow is from Etsy & you can find that HERE. I love throw pillows & am sure I’ll be adding a few more to cozy up the space bit more but for now our bedding is pretty simple 🙂
Bed Skirt
The bedskirt is from Amazon too. I think it gives such a soft romantic feel to the room. You can find a link below 😊
The rug actually took me awhile to decide. A part of me really wanted another natural jute rug in there haha! Just because I like them so much but another part of me wanted something a little bit different but still very neutral. I actually asked you on IG which you preferred from my top 3 choices & it was unanimously the rug I ended up choosing. I got it from Amazon & you can find its link below.
There were some mixed review online about it, which I always consider. Most of the less positive ones said that it was thin. I would agree that it isn’t a thick rug but that isn’t something that mattered to me in this space. I almost went with the black option but decided on the more muted grey version & I’m so glad I did. The rug really softens the room & I love that it feels vintage too ❤ I think for right at $100 it’s a steal!
Curtains
The curtains in our bedroom are the same exact ones I went with in the living room. They are simply drop cloths 🙂 If you’d like to know more about them you can check out this ARTICLE that explains exactly where I got them from & how I made them!
Textiles
Textiles are some of, if not my favorite, elements to add to a space! They make such a huge impact on the way a room feels. I wanted our bedroom textiles to create a soft, cozy, & romantic feeling that incorporates both the farmhouse & French cottage styles (or what I refer to as French Farmhouse 😉). I think they’ve done that! 🙌 I hope you’re having the best day!
Thank you so much for stopping by our little blog!
XOXO,

Love your room! My husband and I recently moved and I we downsized to a queen bed. My huband is also a quilt hog. I really like the cover you purchsed from Target. Do you have to place it off center so your bedskirt shows or do you use it more li,e a bedspread. I have a blue ticking bedskirt I love to show

Hey there Bobbi! I keep the quilt from Target centered on our bed. It’s a king sized quilt on a queen sized bed because I sleep next to a cover hog as well! Lol! I bet your ticking bedskirt is adorable! I love all things ticking! Hope that answers you question! Take care!
