This Week at the Farm: 1
Happy Sunday! Hope your new year is off to a great start! I’m starting a new weekly series called “This Week at the Farm:1”. It’s obviously very similar to the weekly farmhouse update series I attempted when we first moved in haha! But remember that whole consistency thing I preached about working on, yep this is part of that 😉 So I’m going to try my darnedest to keep y’all up to speed with everything we’re doing!
These weekly updates will let ya know what we’ve been doing, articles you might have missed, and what you can look forward to soon!
On This Week at the Farm: 1
We’ve had very mild weather for January so far, which means I’ve been spending extra time outdoors with the fur babes.
Is there anything bette than a lap full of kittens? Luna, Raven, and Archie are getting SO big but thank goodness they’re still all lap babies! I’ll be going in to officially adopt them this week and scheduling them to get spayed and neutered soon!
Ps. The girls remind me of that black dragon from the movie “How to Train Your Dragon”. Anyone else? Lol!
Now that the weeds and overgrowth around all the buildings are dead, we’re able to see how much stuff is actually out there from the previous owners. And last Monday Scout got a small cut on the inside of her leg on something, which is just further motivation to get it cleaned up. We’re hoping to have everything from inside and outside of the buildings cleaned up before spring gets here, but we’ll have to rent or borrow some equipment to do it because there are some large pieces of concrete etc. I’ll be sure to document that process for ya!
Inside the Farmhouse
I started hanging some things in the living room this week, which felt good. I also went to a greenhouse and antique store, which I highly recommend if you’re ever needing a little inspiration or for battling the winter blues!
It helped me with both and I’m excited to show you my ideas for this space once they come together!
I also set up an Amazon Storefront this week where I’ll share all my favorite Amazon finds with you! I’m really excited about this since I shop about 98% online these days and much of it is on Amazon! You can check out my Storefront HERE!
We also started a fun project in the kitchen on the wall where the previous owner had put up this random cedar wainscoting. We should be finishing this project up this weekend! I can’t wait for y’all to see!
Places We Went
We visited Refab in STL yesterday! This is a place I’ve been wanting to check out for years! And it far exceeded my expectations! I’ll be doing a full article on this place the next time we go because it was awesome! But this time we wanted to see what all they have, prices, etc. We’re excited to have found a local resource like this as we fix up the farm!
This Week at the Farm: 1
And that pretty much sums up This Week at the Farm: 1. I hope you’ll enjoy these weekly updates! Let me know if you have any questions about anything we’re up to! Have a great week friend and I’ll talk to ya soon!
