This Week at the Farm 17: Feeling Like a Farmer

Hey there!

Hope you’ve had a great week! It’s been  a good one here this week at the farm and I’m feeling like a farmer y’all! Lol!

Tractor SupplyWhat We’ve been Up to at the Farm

This past week we’ve still focusing on outdoor farm things and the new farm babies. I’m loving every minute of Springtime at the farm! The chicks are doing great!

And you can see exactly what breeds we got and where we got them from HERE!

The lambs are settling in so well! I feel like it’s been a smooth transition for them. I spend a few minutes with them in the barn each morning before turning them out, and then again midday and in the evening before putting them up for the night. They follow me around and are warming up to scratches and snuggles.

Scout is proving to be very gentle and watchful of them. They love Finn because he’s small but he’s a bit afraid of them lol! And we’re still working on Maverick because he’s just a bit too interested. Oh and the cats are enjoying the sheep’s company or at least their straw haha! Our ram lamb will be here soon! You can see his name on the chalkboard below 😉

What’s Coming Up at the Farm

Yesterday we finished planting the raised garden beds I built last week and those will be up on the blog this week. They’re a very inexpensive and easy diy! My goal this year was just to get a start on the garden, but I’m excited to share our long term plans with you! We’ll be adding to it a little bit each year!

I’m also hoping to finish painting the pasture fence posts this week. Then I can turn my attention to whipping the chicken coop into shape! It’s going to be a project!

You can see pics of it on the Farm Property Before Tour HERE! Even though it’s much less overgrown now 😉

We’ll also be FINALLY hanging our new old front doors this weekend! I cannot wait to share them with y’all! And the barn stable reveal will be up on here for ya this week too! Don’t worry lambs pics will be included! 😉
